“For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” Romans 5:10 NASB

Because man sinned his relationship with God was broken. Man had declared war against God and His truth. Yet even while we were enemies, God chose to provide peace and reconcile the relationship with man. To reconcile is a deliberate act to end the hostilities between warring parties and instead of a fractured relationship, the relationship is mended and moves forward. God provided the opportunity for this reconciliation through the death of Jesus on the cross. Much more, He saved us by the resurrection of Jesus from the dead to give us life.

Lord God, I stand amazed at Your great love, mercy, and grace that redeemed and reconciled me. I bask in the joy of this new life provided by the resurrected Lord Jesus.
