Significant Places: New Jerusalem
Revelation 21:1-2

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth . . . And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,” Revelation 21:1-2 NASB

In the last two chapters of Revelation, John writes of the glory of eternity in Heaven. In seemingly inadequate words he attempts to describe the beauty, the splendor, and the grandeur of the Holy City, the New Jerusalem. This marvelous place is being prepared by the Lord as an inheritance for all whose names are written in the book of life, for all who, by the grace of God, have trusted in Jesus as their Savior. In this New Jerusalem, Heaven, believers will spend eternity in the presence of the Lord.

Lord Jesus, I am in awe of this place You are preparing for me and all believers. I long for the day when Your glory is revealed, and I will spend eternity with You.
