“Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4 NASB
The one who is trusting in the Lord, who is obediently and faithfully seeking His righteousness, will find that his delight, his joy, his yearning desire is the Lord. He will seek to be in God’s presence, to yearn for and find pleasure in the Lord and in His Word. His heart, his whole life will be driven with passion for the Lord. In response, the Lord will give him the joy of knowing and experiencing Him.
Lord Jesus, the deepest yearning of my heart is to know You more and to honor and glorify Your Name in all that I do. In You I find the joy of my salvation and the strength to face each day.
