Kept Silent
Psalm 32:3

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away Through my groaning all day long.” Psalm 32:3 NASB

Sin may seem pleasant and even fun for a season, but it ultimately leads to misery and woe. David may have enjoyed his sinful affair, but then his attempt to cover-up his sin only multiplied his wrongs. The aftermath of David’s sin, his lack of repentance and confession, took a toll on him physically, emotionally, and mentally. The inner turmoil in his soul drained away his physical stamina and his very life’s essence. The only relief for debilitating sin comes through repentance and cleansing by the blood of Christ.

Lord Jesus, while sin causes my soul to suffer and destroys my life, I find peace and comfort when I confess and repent of my sin. I rejoice having been cleansed and made whole in You.
