“Great are the works of the LORD; They are studied by all who delight in them.” Psalm 111:2 NASB

God has done mighty and amazing things, both in creation and in His dealings with His people. In his praising the Lord, the psalmist ponders the great works of the Lord. The amazement and delight that he finds in God and His works causes him to continue to study them. Like a circle, thinking about God and His works leads to praising God which leads to more study. The believer is called to think about God’s works, to worship and praise God, and to eagerly and diligently study God’s Word, the Bible.

Lord Jesus, the more I study the Bible the more I delight in Your amazing works and the more I yearn to praise You. Help me to study Your Word and to honor You with my words and my works.
