“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His instructions have good insight. His praise endures forever.” Psalm 111:10 HCSB

This fear is not trembling from terror and dread but is a reverential and respectful humbleness in awe as one bows before the greatness and holiness of the Lord God Almighty. The first step toward wisdom is a reverential fear of God. From this type of fear comes wisdom and understanding that is demonstrated in obediently following His Word and will. True wisdom is found only in giving the Lord God the obedience, respect, honor, glory, and praise He deserves now and forevermore.

Lord Jesus, I pray that my heart and life will be filled with awe and fear at Your holiness. As I obediently follow Your Word, let my voice and my life forever worship and praise You, my Savior and Lord.
