Lord Himself is God
Psalm 100:3
The Upward Look
by Max D. Hutto,
“Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.” Psalm 100:3 NASB
In an emphatic statement, David categorically declares that the Lord Himself is God. It is the Lord God that is to be worshiped and served in gladness and joy. It is the Lord God who is the Creator. It is the Lord God who made us, who sustains us, guides us, and calls us to worship Him. It is the Lord God who desires us to be His people, the sheep of His pasture. It is because He is the Lord God that we gather together to worship, to sing His praise, and to obediently follow His commands.
Lord God, I unequivocally and boldly declare that You are my God, my Lord, my Shepherd. Because of Your mercy and grace, I worship and serve You, my Savior.
