Joyfully Worship
Psalm 100:1

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth.” Psalm 100:1 NASB

This marvelous psalm exhorts all people to worship and praise the Lord. All peoples of the earth are to shout with triumph and joy, making a joyful noise to the Lord. The people of God are to gather for worship, not with long sad faces but with excited and exuberant praise to the Almighty Lord God, our Creator. God the Father calls us to come into His holy and majestic presence because in love He pours out His mercy and grace upon us through Jesus the Son, our Savior and Redeemer. Thus we are to worship, glorify, and honor Him with joyful shouts and songs.

Lord God, as Your people gather this Sunday to worship You, may we lift our voices in joyful praise to You. May joyous worship overflow from our lives that are filled with Your love and grace.
