“Thus I have beheld Thee in the sanctuary, To see Thy power and Thy glory.” Psalm 63:2 NASB
David was in the wilderness a long way from God’s Holy Temple in Jerusalem. However, his desire was to see God just as he had in the sanctuary. He wanted to see God, to gaze intently, to perceive and experience God in a real and personal way. He desired to worship God, to admire God’s great glory and power. God’s power could be described as His strength and majesty. God’s glory would include His abundant honor and splendor. David wanted to give praise to God and to fellowship with God privately in the wilderness just has he had corporately in the sanctuary.
Lord Jesus, You are worthy of all praise, glory, and honor. I desire to worship You, to experience Your greatness, privately today and with Your church on Sunday.
