“But the king will rejoice in God; Everyone who swears by Him will glory, For the mouths of those who speak lies will be stopped.” Psalm 63:11 NASB
Even in the desert when things are darkest, King David will rejoice and praise God. His trust and faith in God bring gladness to his life even in the midst of difficult circumstances. All who are loyal and have pledged their allegiance to God will triumph and give praise, honor, and glory to God. All who speak lies against David and against God will be silenced in judgment. While evil flourishes for a time, David knows that God will ultimately triumph.
Lord Jesus, even when things around me are the darkest, may Your light flood my soul with joy and peace. This day let my mouth and my actions bring praise, glory, and honor to You, my Savior and Lord.
