"My soul waits in silence for God only; From Him is my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken." Psalm 62:1-2 NASB

The psalmist David speaks of total trust in God. God is his “rock.” When Saul was trying to kill him, David hid among the rocks for protection. It was there, amongst the rocks, he found secure shelter and a place of refuge away from trials and threats of life. There he learned the spiritual truth that God is “The Rock” that provides true protection, shelter, refuge, and steadfastness. God is always there for His children.

Lord Jesus, I am so thankful that in You I can find my refuge and strength. With You protecting me, I can face this day and all its trials.
