“Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?" Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD.” Psalm 4:6 NIV

The people were complaining, “What is in it for me? If only it was like it was back in the good old days.” Discontented, they were seeking their own selfish pleasure, while David was seeking God’s presence. Praying the priestly benediction, David wanted to see God’s grace and blessings flow out on all the land. While the people anxiously pined for material things, David desired the spiritual blessings of God’s presence and favor.

Lord Jesus, I desire a deep and abiding personal relationship with You. Fill my thoughts with Your presence that I might live this day bringing You glory and honor.
