“Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.” Psalm 4:4 NASB
God must not be thought of in a flippant and disrespectful manner, but He must be shown reverential fear, as if to tremble in awe of His presence. In consideration of His holiness and purity, we are not to be sinful in our lifestyle. Using those quiet moments to ponder our lives, we must search our heart with the goal of having a clean and clear conscience. Instead of tossing and turning in bed, we should humbly meditate on God and our relationship with Him.
Lord Jesus, You are my God, my Savior, my Redeemer, and my Lord. Fill my thoughts with Your great grace and love that I might faithfully live a pure, holy, and godly life.
