To Be Blessed

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.” Psalm 33:12 NASB
Are we a nation that is blessed? Is the Lord our God? We sing, “God bless America,” and we say, “One nation, under God.” However, are we truly trusting and obeying God? In order for God to bless our nation, He must be our God. We must be His chosen people. We must repent and turn back to Him. We must trust Him, love Him, honor Him, and obey Him.
Lord Jesus, I am thankful that I live in a free country. Help me to do my part in making this country blessed by trusting You as my God and by being obedient to Your Word.
