The Upward Look

“My eyes are continually toward the LORD, For He will pluck my feet out of the net.” Psalm 25:15 NASB
Though surrounded by troubles to the point of having his feet caught in a trap, David’s eyes are on the Lord, his only hope, and not on his circumstances. A constant and habitual gaze at the Lord in confident trust and dependence provides comfort, rest, and strength even in times of trouble and heartache. This trust will result in deliverance as God, by His mighty power, plucks David out of the nets and snares that envelop and entrap him.
Lord Jesus, in spite of darkness and perils that surround me, help me focus on You and Your Word. You are my only hope, my refuge, my comfort, my strength, and my deliverer.
