“The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true; they are righteous altogether.” Psalm 19:9 NASB
Using an unexpected term David describes God’s Word as the fear of the Lord. This fear is to show reverence, respect, and humility before God and His Word. God’s Word is clean and pure, having no imperfections or errors, and it will never change but will endure forever. Finally David describes God’s Word as His judgments, decrees, ordinances, or laws which are true, sure, and reliable. God’s Word is always right and fair, leading a person to walk and to live in righteousness.
Lord Jesus, I am grateful for Your Word, the Bible, that teaches me about You. I desire to obey Your Word and to live a righteous and pure life.
