“The heavens are telling of the glory of God . . . The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul.” Psalm 19:1a,7a NASB

God reveals Himself to mankind in two distinct ways. First, God can be seen through His creation, which in theology is called “general revelation.” In the first part of this Psalm David describes the vastness and preciseness of the heavens that declare the glory of God as Creator. Second, God reveals Himself through the Word, the Bible, which is called “special revelation.” The second part of this Psalm describes the greatness and power of Scripture to transform a person for the glory of God.

Lord Jesus, I am amazed as I look at Your creation. Yet I am awestruck by Scripture as it tells me how I can know You.
