“The LORD lives, and blessed be my rock; And exalted be the God of my salvation, . . . Therefore I will give thanks to You among the nations, O LORD, And I will sing praises to Your name.” Psalm 18:46-49 NASB

Just like he began this psalm, David concludes by praising the Lord. God had saved him, rescued him, strengthened him, and given him the victory over his enemies. David therefore praised and thanked God who was his immovable rock and his impregnable fortress of salvation. David’s worship and praise included giving thanks and singing so that the other nations would know of God’s greatness and salvation.

Lord Jesus, I praise Your name for You are my salvation and my strength. I lift my voice to sing and tell others of Your saving grace, mercy, and love.
