“It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.” Psalm 18:32-34 NIV

David, the mighty warrior, declares that it was not his personal ability that gained him the victory. It was God who provided David the strength, endurance, training, and power needed to be victorious in battle. David humbly praised God alone for his ability and victory. God had provided steadfastness and assuredness, like the sure-footed deer climbing the mountainous steeps. God had trained and empowered David in battle against the enemies. It was not David, but God, who had won the victory.

Lord Jesus, overwhelmed by the troubles of the day, I must depend and trust You for my survival. I praise You for it is only through Your giving me the strength and ability that I can face the challenges of this day.
