“The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my mountain where I seek refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:2 HCSB

David burst forth in praise which wonderfully describes the character and attributes of the Lord. God is his rock, a stable and strong foundation. He is his fortress, a strong defense when being attacked. God is his deliverer who rescues him from his enemies and saves him from harm. He is his mountain of rock that provides a strong defense. God is his shield that protects him from his enemies. He is his horn of salvation, a powerful weapon in battle that provides salvation. God is his stronghold, a high tower of protection.

Lord Jesus, You are my salvation and my strength. I can face this day with all its troubles and trials because You are my protection and deliverer.
