Declaration of Faith
Psalm 16:2

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord; I have no good besides You."” Psalm 16:2 NASB

David declares that the great eternal I AM is his Lord, his Master. This declaration is his statement of faith, his profession of trust in the God who desires to be in a covenant relationship with His people. David declares his total allegiance to loyally follow and obey the Sovereign King, placing himself under the rule and authority of the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He further acknowledges that the Lord is good, that His character and actions are good, and that every good and perfect gift comes from Him.

Lord Jesus, I proclaim that You are my Savior, my Lord, my Master. In You are all goodness and grace. I surrender my will, my life to follow You and obey Your Word.
