“And he will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season, And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.” Psalm 1:3 NASB

The result of staying away from sin and delighting in the Bible is a continual, flourishing relationship with God. These righteous ones are blessed by God and will see God at work in their lives. They will be like the tree that is carefully planted and cared for. It stays green even during a drought because it is planted close to its water source. At the appropriate time the tree bears fruit. The righteous will prosper in their relationship with God as He works to carry out His purpose for their lives.

Lord Jesus, I am mindful of Your work in my life. During the good times and the rough times, help me to draw strength from You by staying true to Your Word, the Bible.
