“The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, And the LORD will by no means leave the guilty unpunished.” Nahum 1:3a NASB

The Almighty, all-powerful God is slow to anger. He is long-suffering and patient while postponing judgment. His desire is that those who do evil would repent, turn away from their sin, and by faith trust completely in Him for salvation, becoming obedient to His will and commands. Yet the Lord will judge evil and the sin of the guilty and unrepentant. God’s judgment and wrath will be poured out upon those who do evil, who are guilty of sin, who rebel against God’s authority, and who refuse His merciful grace.

Lord Jesus, I am ever thankful for Your mercy and grace that forgives and cleanses me of sin. Help me to warn others of the impending judgment on the unrepentant.
