“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21 NIV

What is it that you treasure and value as most important? Jesus declares that what you treasure, whether it is earthly or heavenly treasure, will determine where your heart’s desire will be. In our day there are two common expressions that illustrate this truth: “He put his whole heart into that effort” and “His heart is just not in it.” Ultimately what you value as most important is that on which you desire to spend the most of your thoughts, time, and effort.

Lord Jesus, my desire is to live in a way that brings You glory and honor. Help me not to be distracted by things of this world, but to wholeheartedly serve and obey You.
