“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10 NASB

For the righteous, a major purpose of prayer was the surrendering of personal will to the rule and reign of God. It is acknowledging God’s will, plan, and purpose for one’s life. It is a commitment to see God’s will and work done in the life of the believer and the world. Jesus teaches that meaningful prayer must include a surrendering of heart and life to the will and purpose of God.

Lord Jesus, I desire to be obedient to Your will and to Your Word. I surrender my all to You, my blessed Savior.
