“You are the light of the world.” Matthew 5:14a NASB

Just as Jesus said, “I am the light of the world.” (John 8:12), He also states that His disciples have the responsibility to reflect His light and to be the light of the world. Believers must live in such a way that unbelievers see Jesus shining through their lives. The believers are responsible for functioning as lights that expose evil darkness and give direction and guidance in a dark world. As Christ's lights, His disciples live holy, pure, and obedient lives, becoming living reflections of how the grace of Jesus can transform human lives.

Lord Jesus, help me to be a glowing light that points others in this dark world to the Holy Light. Let my life be a light that shines forth Your great love, mercy, and grace.
