“When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. After coming into the house they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell to the ground and worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” Matthew 2:10-11 NASB
The third of the three drastically different reactions to the mention of the name of Jesus Christ is that of joy and worship. The Wise Men rejoiced beyond measure at being guided to their final destination and into the presence of the Christ. They bowed in humbleness as they worshiped before the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Their worship also included the giving of gifts as they gave homage to the royal Savior and Lord.
Lord Jesus, I bow in worship to You my Savior, my God. Let my life, all that I am and do, honor and praise You.
