“And Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took her as his wife, and kept her a virgin until she gave birth to a Son; and he called His name Jesus.” Matthew 1:24-25 NASB

With his world seemingly crashing in around him, Joseph found peace by obeying God. He did what the angel of God had commanded him. He took pregnant Mary and cared for her. In due time she gave birth to Jesus Christ the Savior. Joseph showed he was a man of great character and honor. He demonstrated his faith in God through obedience to God’s commands. He had learned how to trust and obey.

Lord Jesus, help me to learn from Joseph how to be obedient and trusting even in the midst of a crisis. Help me to be a person of good character by doing what You have commanded.
