“They crucified Him . . . and laid Him in a tomb . . . And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, . . . He is not here, but He has risen.” Luke 23:33, 53, 24:2, 6 NASB

The reason we celebrate Good Friday and Easter Sunday is because we celebrate what Jesus did for us. He was crucified as the sacrifice for our sins. He took our place, taking our punishment for our rebellion against God. He died and was buried in a tomb. But that was not the end. On the third day, the tomb was open and empty. Jesus was not there for He had risen from the dead. Because of what Jesus did, we can have forgiveness for our sins and a new life in Him. Have you found this forgiveness and new life in Jesus by accepting Him as your personal Savior and Lord?

Lord Jesus, I bow in reverence and amazement at what You did for me. I worship You and will love and follow You with all my heart and being.
