Christ, the Messiah
Luke 2:11

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“Today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:11 NASB

The joyous celebration of the birth of Jesus announces the coming of the Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One, who brings us salvation from our sins. As Messiah Jesus holds three important titles and jobs. He is The Prophet, proclaiming both God’s judgment on sin and His provision of reconciliation. He is The Priest, mediating between sinful man and a holy God by offering the perfect sacrifice for our redemption. He is The King, ruling and reigning as Lord, the supreme authority and master of all.

Lord Jesus, reign in my life as I faithfully obey Your commands. I bow and worship You my Christ, my Savior, my Lord.
