“If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me before it hated you.” John 15:18 HCSB

Believers in Jesus have been hated and persecuted throughout history. They have been oppressed by the worldly culture that is evil and sinful by nature. Jesus knew this hatred would happen because the world hated Him first. Jesus was hated by many. Even the religious leaders of His day desired to kill Him. Evil cannot stand the presence of good. The world will always fight against righteousness.

Lord Jesus, give strength to those who are in the battle between good and evil this very day. Please help me to stand for what is right even in the midst of persecution and unbelief
