“Do not fear, for I am with you; . . . Everyone who is called by My name, And whom I have created for My glory, Whom I have formed, even whom I have made.” Isaiah 43:5a,7 NASB

The seventeenth century catechisms stated that the chief end, aim, or purpose of man is to glorify God. In Isaiah it states that God created, formed, and made His children, all those who are called by His name, for His glory. We bring God glory by honoring and worshiping Him as the Almighty Lord God. He created us and loved us so much that He provided our redemption from our sins through Jesus’ atoning sacrifice on Calvary’s cross. We glorify God when we surrender our whole being to His Lordship and obey His Word.

Lord Jesus, I worship You, my Savior and my God. I honor You by seeking to learn and obey Your Word. May all I do glorify You.
