“The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8 NASB
As we enter a new year we often make resolutions about things we want to change or do in the new year. Most resolutions are about things that don't really matter in the long run, those things that wither and fade away. Isaiah reminds us that life is fleeting and quickly fades away. What remains? What is more important, the things that wither and fade, or the thing that is forever? This new year, why not make a resolution to dig deeper into the Word of God which stands forever!
Lord Jesus, in this new year, help me to focus on the most important things. Help me to learn from Your Word, the Bible, how to live my life in a way that would honor and glorify You.
