The Lord: The Eternal Rock
Isaiah 26:4

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“Trust in the LORD forever, For in GOD the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock.” Isaiah 26:4 NASB

Isaiah exhorts the people to confidently and dependently trust in God through every circumstance and situation. God’s salvation, strength, and protection are eternally unchangeable, unmovable, solid, and firm for He is the everlasting, eternal Rock of Ages. Isaiah uses a threefold repetition of God’s name to express in superlative terms the greatness, the majesty, the glory, the holiness, and the power of the Lord God. In emphatic and reverential language, Isaiah declares his trust in the everlasting, eternal Lord God Almighty.

Lord Jesus, although the times are tough and troubles are compounding around me, my trust is in You. I lift my voice in praise to You my Rock, my Refuge and Strength, and my Savior.
