Masters Show Respect
Ephesians 6:9

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“And masters, treat your slaves the same way, without threatening them, because you know that both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with Him.” Ephesians 6:9 CSB

A master was to treat his slaves with the same characteristics of respect, consideration, and goodwill that pleases and honors God in all his actions. He was not to threaten, bully, or berate his slaves. He was to be mindful that they were both servants of the Lord God, knowing that God shows no favoritism or partiality to rank or position. In our day we could apply this slave and master relationship to employee and employer, manager or supervisor relationship.

Lord Jesus, help me to treat others with respect and courtesy, remembering that You are my Lord and Master. May everything I do bring You honor and glory.
