Fathers, Raise Them
Ephesians 6:4a

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” Ephesians 6:4 NASB

Fathers are to be the spiritual leader and the head of their household. Fathers have the responsibility for raising and nurturing their children, teaching them how to live and how to follow the Lord. Too often in today’s culture, fathers have refused to accept this responsibility, abandoning their children for others to raise. While specifically addressing fathers, these principles apply to both parents. Raising children is best accomplished when both father and mother are actively involved in the day to day lives of their children.

Lord Jesus, I am grateful and humbled to be a parent. Teach me how to be involved in raising my children to follow You.
