A Dear Friend
Ephesians 6:21
The Upward Look
by Max D. Hutto,
“Tychicus, our dearly loved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will tell you all the news about me so that you may be informed.” Ephesians 6:21 HCSB
Several companions traveled with Paul on his missionary journeys. His dear friend Tychicus was one of these companions and was with Paul while he was imprisoned in Rome. Tychicus would be the messenger who carried this letter to the Ephesians. He would personally share news about Paul to the Ephesians. Paul highly praised Tychicus as a dearly beloved brother and a faithful servant of the Lord who was an encouragement to Paul and would encourage the Ephesians in their walk with Christ.
Lord Jesus, thank You for dear friends who faithfully serve with me and encourage me in Your work. May I be a dear friend to other believers as we serve You together.
