Pray for All the Saints
Ephesians 6:18d

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,” Ephesians 6:18 NASB

The last use of the word “all” asserts the importance of praying for other believers. In many of his letters, Paul wrote that he was praying for his readers, often listing very specific requests. Whether they are new in the faith or spiritually mature, all believers in the family of God are facing spiritual battles and need to stand firm in the faith. This intercession and supplication is not only for believers in the local church but also for those around the world.

Lord Jesus, too often my prayers are self-centered. Enlarge my heart to encompass other believers, praying specifically for Your kingdom work around the world.
