All Prayers
Ephesians 6:18a

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,” Ephesians 6:18 NASB

While not identified with a part of armor, prayer is essential to standing firm and winning the spiritual battle. The word “all” is used four times in this verse. The first use defines the various aspects and types of prayers used to communicate with God. Praise acknowledges who God is, His character and attributes. Thanks shows appreciation for what He has done. Confession involves acknowledging, agreeing, and repenting of sin. Supplication asks for what is needed. Intercession petitions for others and their needs.

Lord Jesus, teach me how to pray, how to use all the aspects and types of prayers as I talk with You.
