Stand Firm
Ephesians 6:13
The Upward Look
by Max D. Hutto,
“Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.” Ephesians 6:13 NASB
Paul reiterates that the believer needs to be ready and prepared for the spiritual battle by taking up, by putting on, the full complete armor of God. The time to get ready for the battle is before it starts, not after the first shots are fired. The believer must be prepared every day for evil to attack. Having prepared he will be able to resist and withstand the temptations and trials of the day. The outcome of the battle fought with the full armor of God will find the believer still standing firm, holding ground, standing strong in the faith.
Lord Jesus, with evil all around, teach me how to put on Your armor that I may be able to stand firm in the faith.
