Growing Fruit
Ephesians 5:9

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“(for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth),” Ephesians 5:9 NASB

Being a child of Light, the believer in Christ produces fruit that is consistent with the Light. This fruit grows as the believer walks each day in Christ, living a lifestyle that is pleasing and honoring the Lord. Goodness is living by loving as Christ loved, actively showing kindness and sharing His mercy, grace, and love. Righteousness is living in holiness and in right standing in God’s sight by doing what is right. Truth is living by the standard of God’s Word, the Bible, by obeying the will of God.

Lord Jesus, may my life, every thought, word, and action, shine forth reflecting Your light, producing a character and life filled with goodness, righteousness, and truth.
