Three In One
The Upward Look
by Max D. Hutto,
“There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4:4-6 NASB
Appealing for spiritual unity, Paul lists seven components that unite all believers. These seven include the three persons of the Trinity: one Spirit, one Lord, and one God the Father. While difficult for our human minds to comprehend and understand, God is one God who reveals Himself with three distinct personal attributes. The unity of the Trinity is the source and foundation that undergirds the unity of all believers into one body, one hope, one faith, one baptism.
Lord God, despite my limited and feeble understanding, by faith I accept and acknowledge that You are one God in three persons, the Blessed Trinity!
