Walk with Peace
The Upward Look
by Max D. Hutto,
“being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:3 NASB
As Paul was writing this letter to the Ephesians, he was bound and chained to a Roman guard. This illustration of the bond between believers could have been inspired by his shackles. Believers are bound together as if chained or glued to one another by what Christ has done for us. Christ has brought us peace, peace with God and peace with one another through the unity of the Holy Spirit. Every believer is to walk with Christ in a worthy manner, striving to preserve and maintain this bond of peace with other believers.
Lord Jesus, I am striving to follow You and to walk in a worthy manner by developing a godly character. Help me to live in harmonious peace with my fellow believers.
