Tossed About
Ephesians 4:14
The Upward Look
by Max D. Hutto,
“As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming;” Ephesians 4:14 NASB
New believers and immature believers, who have not grown in the knowledge and understanding of Christ and the Word, are prime targets for false teachers with their fancy words and ideas. Like a small boat tossed about in a high wind storm, these young believers are easily led astray by cunning and crafty schemes that sound appealing and exciting. The answer is found in a growing faith, firmly rooted in Christ and in the Word of God and firmly attached to a loving Bible teaching church.
Lord Jesus, teach me so that my faith is thoroughly grounded and anchored on You and Your Word, the Bible.
