Revealed by the Spirit
Ephesians 3:5

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“This was not made known to people in other generations as it is now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit:” Ephesians 3:5 HCSB

Paul declared that this gospel of grace through the atoning sacrifice of Christ on the cross offered salvation to all people, not just to Jews but also to Gentiles. That this gospel was available for all people was not fully known or understood by the Jewish ancestors. God had revealed, had made known, this previously hidden mystery to the New Testament apostles and prophets. The Holy Spirit had instructed these early disciples, followers of Jesus, concerning this great truth of God’s love and grace for all peoples.

Lord Jesus, help me to be attentive to Your Holy Spirit’s guidance in understanding Your Word, the Bible. Help me to share the great truths of the gospel to all people.
