Reading Scripture
Ephesians 3:4

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“By reading this you are able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ.” Ephesians 3:4 CSB

Paul stressed the importance of reading Scripture to perceive, grasp, know, understand, and comprehend the mystery that is the gospel of Christ. It is crucial for a believer to spend time consistently and continually in daily reading and in-depth Bible study, striving to know and to apply the riches of God’s Word. Reading Scripture leads to an understanding and insight into the mystery of Christ, that God’s gift of grace offers salvation to all who trust in the atoning work of Christ.

Lord Jesus, give me understanding and wisdom to know Your Word. Teach me the truths of Your gospel as I spend time daily reading and studying the Bible.
