Strengthening Power
Ephesians 3:16

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“I pray that He may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power in the inner man through His Spirit,” Ephesians 3:16 HCSB

Because of His inexhaustible love and grace, God the Father grants answers to prayers. Not just giving a mere pittance, He lavishly gives without limit according to His vast riches of glory. Instead of physical power, Paul prays that the believers would be given inner power that strengthens the mind, will, emotions, the very soul of the believer. This spiritual power comes through the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit that enables and empowers the believer to live a righteous and holy life.

Lord God, in a world that is seemingly falling apart, I need the inner strength and fortitude provided by Your Spirit to live a holy life that glorifies and honors You.
