Every Family
Ephesians 3:15

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name,” Ephesians 3:14-15 NASB

In the broadest interpretation God as Creator is the Father of all humanity and angelic beings. God is the ultimate source from which all life is originated and derived. In a narrower interpretive view, God is specifically the Father of all believers, adopted as God’s children through faith in Christ. This latter view continues the idea that Paul is emphasizing that all believers, both Jews and Gentiles, that is believers from every race and nationality, are united as one body, one family in Christ.

Lord God, in You I find eternal life and my adopted family through faith in Christ. Let all that I do bring honor and glory to Your name.
