Prisoner for the Gospel
Ephesians 3:1

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles” Ephesians 3:1 NASB

Though formerly alienated and hostile enemies, Jew and Gentile believers found reconciliation and peace through faith in Christ. God’s great grace saved both Jews and Gentiles and built these two diverse groups of believers into one temple, one church. The reason Paul was in a Roman prison was because he preached God’s saving grace to the Gentiles. The book of Acts described how Paul had been persecuted, arrested, and eventually confined in Rome. Despite the persecution Paul was faithful to share Christ with all people.

Lord Jesus, regardless of hostility give me endurance to remain faithful to You. Help me to share the gospel with others who need to trust in Your saving grace.
