“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;” & “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Ephesians 2:8 & Romans 6:23 NASB
Salvation is God’s gift of grace in which He freely bestows His favor upon sinful individuals who place their faith in Christ. Salvation is not something a person can do for themselves, earn like wages, or get credited or rewarded for doing good. But it is God’s free gift in which He replaces death, the wages of sin that every individual earns and deserves, with a new, marvelous, abundant, everlasting, eternal life in Christ.
Lord Jesus, I give You thanks, glory, and praise for the amazing free gift of salvation, the forgiveness and cleansing of sin, and the everlasting and abundant life I have in You.
